Community Outreach
Joshua and Amy are focused on campus visits and building community. As a couple they come well prepared to serve the internationals we connect with. They worked for NGOs in China for over seven years, both speak Mandarin with proficiency, both have obtained TEFOL certificates and have taught English classes for many years. Since returning to the U.S., they have been relating with internationals on the University of Minnesota campus through Hospitality Center, Stadium Village Church, and Chi Alpha.International They come with a heart for those who want to learn more both intellectually and spiritually. Barbara Fadirepo
Community Engagement
Having married an international student, Barbara has first hand knowledge of the needs and challenges they face and loves to help them find joy along their journey. Barbara received her M.Ed in International Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). In addition to teaching classes for CXI, Barbara assists incoming international students, scholars, and their families in practical ways as they acclimate to life in the US. She brings enthusiasm to CXI activities and has served on staff connecting with our guests for more than a decade! Barbara welcomed three grandchildren into the world in 2019! Sasha comes with first-hand experience, having arrived to a college in Mankato from Ukraine two decades ago. His credentials include an Ed.D. in Counselor Education: College Student Affairs, and a Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language. He brings many skills to our team, and a desire to serve international students well.

Yulia Singh, Programs and Volunteers
Yulia has set foot in 26 countries, volunteering and in humanitarian capacity. She has also studied 3 languages and loves to connect with internationals living in the USA and around the world.
