Ways to Volunteer:

  • Teach an English, Cooking, Fitness, or Arts Class

  • Tutor a student under the Connexions One-2-One program

  • Host a student or two for Dinner

  • Use your computer skills to help with technology and social media, even from home, anytime!

  • Help us publicize our activities on campus.

  • Serve as a board member or a Vision Celebration team member

  • Recruit Twin Cities college students to join CXI as interns or volunteers

  • Pray for us!

Can I check out Connexions before I commit myself?                              

Yes! Here are some good places to start:

  • Visit an online or in-person class.

  • Invite CXI to your group to learn more about the international student community in the Twin Cities.

  • Prepare and serve a meal for a Saturday lunch or holiday picnic.

  • Sign-up for our quarterly E-Letter to read experiences shared by students and volunteers. Just email program@cxiumn.org.

Volunteer Requirements

All prospective volunteers are asked to do the following: 

  • Register to serve through our Online Volunteer Registration Form

  • Interview with CXI staff by phone

  • Ask about the training and support we offer.

  • Come early to your first event for orientation
